Injustice 2 and NetherRealm Studios:
Injustice 2 was developed by NetherRealm Studios, the same team behind the Mortal Kombat Series, so it makes sense that they’d want to cross-pollinate their games a bit to improve ongoing interest in the fighting game genre.
I personally think it takes players out of the Injustice 2 universe a bit, but hey, they had Predator in the last Mortal Kombat game, so what do I know. I think it’s going to be a lot of fun in any case, but then why not just make a mash-up fighting game with everyone in it, it’s not like MK has ever had an amazing narrativ, to begin with.
Sub-Zero in Injustice 2:
Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and DC Entertainment announced that Sub-Zero is now available in the critically acclaimed Injustice 2 for players who have purchased the Injustice 2 Ultimate Edition, Injustice 2 Digital Deluxe Edition, Injustice 2 Ultimate Pack or Fighter Pack #1.
This latest addition to the character roster comes from Mortal Kombat, NetherRealm Studios’ classic mega-hit franchise, with a brand-new costume designed by world renowned artist and DC Publisher, Jim Lee. (I’m pretty sure they’re going to bring in Scorpion next)
Sub-Zero will be available as a standalone purchase on July 18 in the PlayStation®Store and Xbox Store.
