Virginity is Broken!

After I broke my festival virginity at the recent Mielie Pop Fest, it seems like I’ll find any reason to get to a music and craft beer festival.

When I got the chance to checkout Park Acoustics, I was there without thinking!

The event, while not massive, was fun! A few hundred people, getting together under the shade of a big tree, listening to local up-and-coming musicians, that you would have otherwise never heard of, and hearing the bigger names in local music like: Gangs of Ballet, to end the day off.

Everything was great, until I made the funny mistake of sitting in the front row during the comedy segment of the day, and was utterly roasted by the hilarious Chris Forrest. I guess I deserved it, never had a loss for words when it came to discussing boobs and bums with a comedian! (I kid, thats never happened). I’d like to thank Chris Forrest for being a great laugh, and I look forward to the next roast.

Here’s some highlights of the day!

Park Acoustics was great, a nice relaxed environment, where apparently you can bring your young baby and complain about the loud music and various forms of smoke.

It’s a must see for any music festival Joburger or Pretorian. Just get there early, or you will not find a good spot! (For the entire lineup for Park Acoustics 3 April, check this out: 3 April 2016)
